Founded in 2001, ECYDO emerged from a grassroots initiative driven by young volunteers who recognized the urgent need to address the social, economic, and health challenges faced by their peers. We are committed to fostering a safe, clean, and equitable environment where every child and youth can thrive.
Our Mission
"ECYDO strives to decrease new HIV infections and Sexually transmitted infections (STIs), promote Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) education and youth friendly services; alleviate socioeconomic problems of children and young people, and promote environmental protection through awareness creation, training, economic empowerment opportunities, networking and partnership, and promoting and reinforcing community based responses."
Our Vision
Our vision is to see a safe, clean, and happy environment for every child and youth in Ethiopia to grow in; with access to education, health services, and equal opportunities.
Our Goal
ECYDO strives for an Ethiopia with equal opportunities for girls and boys, for an Ethiopia without HIV/AIDS and gender-based violence. ECYDO strives for an Ethiopia where children and young people can develop and live up to their potential, and where nobody is left behind.
